Dunes Corner sits between the centre of Heist and Duinbergen, in a residential area just behind Elizabetlaan. The beach and the promenade are a few minutes’ walk away, the Heist lake and Willemspark even closer.
Day to day, you hardly need a car. The supermarket is a few hundred metres away, and from Duinbergen station the train takes you to Bruges in no time.

The project
Architect Didier Combes designed a building that embraces the corner instead of cutting it off. The light brick façade sweeps around the junction in a wide curve, with continuous glass balustrades and large windows on every floor.
A tiled roof with dormers completes the building. Every apartment gets daylight from more than one side and an outdoor space looking out over the street and the sky.
